Winning Design Announced!

      The Oswego PorchFest Committee has reviewed the 6 design concepts submitted for “Oswego PorchFest 2016" T-Shirt Design and chosen the winner.  We want to thank all the people who submitted designs!

The Oswego PorchFest Committee is pleased to announced that Daryl Hunt submitted the winning design for this year’s theme “Neighborhoods in Harmony” . His design will be featured on this year’s T-shirts which will be available during Oswego PorchFest to help underwrite the costs of this FREE Community Building event.


 

Daryl Hunt, owner of Hunt Signs since 1982, is a transplanted Oswegonian from Clinton NY.  Daryl commented: “Laker Hockey brought me here, but the people and community made me want to stay.” After meeting and attending SUNY design classes with John Belt, the sign business seemed to be a perfect mix between being creative, and being a productive part of the community while making a living.  “I’m here for the duration.”

 

Oswego PorchFest will take place on Sunday September 25,  from 1-5PM in the Oswego Historic Westside Neighborhoods of Franklin Square and Montcalm Park.

Oswego PorchFest in a FREE Community Building Event where musicians, dancers, actors, magicians, artists of all kinds donate their time and talent while homeowners host their performances on the front porches and yards of their homes.

Oswego PorchFest Presents 30 Bands/2 Theatrical Performances Sunday Sept. 25, 1-5PM All FREE!

 

Oswego, NY will host its second annual “PorchFest” on Sunday September 25, 2016 from 1-5PM in the Historic Districts of West/Franklin and Montcalm Parks. This is a family-friendly community building event where last year 800+ people enjoyed strolling through the historic neighborhoods and listening to a variety of music in an open-air setting.

30 Bands and 3 Theatrical performances will donate their time and talent for this FREE community building event. The performances will take place on a variety of front porches and yards throughout the area at different scheduled times. A list of the performers and the times and locations is listed below or  you can find it at either “OswegoPorchFest” on FaceBook or the Website; www.OswegoPorchFest.com. There will also be an app. available for smart phones at https://tours.pocketsights.com and then click on the Oswego PorchFest 2016 Tour.

This year’s lineup is very impressive and features a wide range of musical tastes including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classic, Country and 2 theatrical presentations.

Core member of Acoustic Justice playing a fresh mix of originals and classic John Prine and John Hiatt.

Oswego Valley Snowbelters Barbershop Chorus - 53 W Seneca

in both four part harmony and in chorus.

CNY Alphorn Ensemble -Franklin Park /W 5th & Seneca

Ensemble of six authentic 13' Long Alphorns,

performing traditional Swiss music in full harmony, attired in traditional decorative outfits!

Gary Carpentier - 40 W Cayuga

Acoustic guitar originals and covers ranging from Sam Cooke to Ed Sheeran. Gary made it through to the final audition round on Season 6 of NBC's "The Voice."

Greg Rosplock - 49 W 5th

Acoustic Singer/Songwriter performing songs

with an introspective look at the things we all face every day. Has hosted Oswego Music Hall open mic and  performed for the "On the Porch Radio Hour" variety show.

Michael and Anita Shiel - 104 W 5th

Country, folk and more, on Acoustic guitar.

Natahley Torrese - 73 W 6th

19 year old singer/songwriter and SUNY Oswego Psych major, Natahley is a regular performer on acoustic guitar at Old City Hall's Tuesday open mic.
